She was smooth! Did good. One of the quicker there I believe.
For fun I did a run as well even though this was a women’s event because dammit I’ve never autocrossed this car and it’s been over a year since I got any seat time in any car! Had a ton of fun. Car badly needs tires and a sway bar. Chassis is fantastic but the suspension is a sloppy truck stop blow job and my Chinesium tires have a complicated relationship with the ground.

Looks like a blast! The first local autocross here is tomorrow, but it’s supposed to be about 40 degrees and raining, so I’m taking a pass on that.

Working might suck in the rain but driving in it at an autocross sounds like an absolute blast.

I’d like to run in the rain
some day
, but not when it’s 40 degrees and the first one of the season.

Roof covers over half of the cargo area and has its own window. It’s a wagon.

That makes my old C30 a wagon.
It's a hatch too.

Jalopnik did some big article about the hatch/wagon distinction a while back , otherwise a Golf would be a “wagon”.

I remember the article. It was wrong.

No I did one run and was 5 seconds faster than her best time. She just needs more seat time to feel out the limits and get more comfortable.
